Idioms Not Idiots

An idiom is defined as...

a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words (e.g., rain cats and dogssee the light )

Two of the most oft used idioms in the english language (or at least according to me) are:

1. "My two cents" as in "I'll give you my two cents." Or "That's my two cents."
2. "Who put the quarter in you?" Asked when someone is going/talking a million miles a minute.

Story time: This one time (not at band camp) I was at my brother's little league game, somewhere around 15 or 16 years old. I was going on and on and on. One of the parents turned around and said, "Gary, who put the quarter in you?" Without missing a beat I responded, "No one. This is all free."

In this blog I will be giving you my two cents, when adjusted for inflation (or my constant ramblings) my seem like twenty-five cents.

Here we go!

Welcome to my world! Buckle up!
